How do I install the add-on?

Open Google Sheets, go to Extensions → Add-ons → Get add-ons, search for "AI Insights for Google Sheets™," and click Install. The add-on will appear in your Extensions menu.

Does the add-on work with any spreadsheet?

Yes. The add-on automatically detects sales-related columns (Sales, Revenue, Amount, Product, Country, Date, Customer) from your headers. If auto-detection fails, you can manually map columns in Settings.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All calculations are performed locally within Google Sheets. Only compact, anonymized summaries (like "Total Sales: $50,000") are sent to the AI. Your raw spreadsheet data never leaves Google servers.

Do I need an API key?

No. The add-on uses a built-in API key managed by the developer. You do not need to configure anything.

What data does the add-on access?

The add-on only reads the active spreadsheet to analyze sales data. It does not access other files, your email, calendar, or any personal information outside the current sheet.

Can I export the insights?

Yes. Click the Export to Google Doc button in the sidebar to generate a formatted report that you can share with your team.

The add-on cannot detect my columns. What should I do?

Go to AI Insights for Google Sheets™ → Settings and manually enter your column names (e.g., "Revenue" for Sales, "Item" for Product). The add-on will use your mappings instead of auto-detection.

How do I uninstall the add-on?

Go to Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons, find "AI Insights for Sheets," click the three dots, and select Uninstall.
